‘Controlled by the Chinese government’: Australia is funding international investors
The Daily Telegraph Journalist James Willis reveals that at least five foreign governments are investing in renewable projects backed by Chris Bowen’s Capacity Investment Scheme.
A subsidiary of EDP Global has received backing for two projects under the CIS.
EDP Global’s largest shareholder is China Three Gorges, which is controlled by the CCP.
“National security experts say if a company is owned by the Chinese government, it can be controlled by the Chinese government,” Mr Willis told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“What China has done very strategically here … is basically circumnavigate any of the normal checks.”
