‘Been in denial’: UK praised for overhauling asylum seeker policy
News Corp Europe correspondent Sophie Elsworth praises the UK for overhauling its asylum seeker policy, forcing refugees to wait 20 years before they can apply to settle permanently.
“They have indeed been in denial about this, but they cannot be in denial any longer,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Some of the changes include that you’ll only be able to have your refugee status temporarily obtained.
“There’s a series of changes where they want to show that they’re getting tough here.”
