A bill called ‘Adult Time for Violent Crime’ will be drafted and brought to state parliament this year.
It will significantly increase the likelihood of a prison sentence for offenders of certain crimes such as aggravated home invasion, carjacking, and armed robbery.
The changes will also increase the maximum length of sentences for child offenders.
