Sudan rebels claim win in El Fasher | Netanyahu asserts Gaza control | Milei’s midterm victory
Sudan’s rebel paramilitary group, the Rapid Support Forces, have claimed a major strategic gain in their two-and-a-half-year war with the military, capturing the army base in the key city of El-Fasher. It was the defence forces last stronghold in Darfur, in the west of the country.
