‘A significant historical moment’: King Charles prays alongside Pope Leo

Campion College President Dr Paul Morrissey discusses the “significant historical” moment King Charles prayed alongside Pope Leo XIV.

“It was a tremendously significant and historic moment in the sense that since the Reformation or the English Reformation … no English Monarch has prayed with the Roman Pontiff, so this was the first time really in almost 500 years,” Mr Morrissey said.

“So, this was a significant historical moment, and a very symbolic moment to be there in the Sistine Chapel.”
