Erika Kirk, the wife of the late Charlie Kirk, paid an emotional tribute to her husband on his birthday, as US President Donald Trump posthumously awarded him the Medal of Freedom.
President Donald Trump posthumously awarded right-wing activist Charlie Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday, October 14.
The White House live-streamed the ceremony in which Trump said, “it’s my privilege to posthumously award Charles James Kirk, our nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”
Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, was also in attendance and spoke, giving words of thanks to both Trump and First Lady Melania.
The ceremony was held on what would have been Charlie’s 32nd birthday and others in attendance included Vice President JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and several Fox News hosts.
