Pakistan to nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize again following Gaza ceasefire
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced his intention to nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for a second time.
The Prime Minister attributed this decision to the role in securing a ceasefire and hostage agreement between Hamas and Israel.
Pakistan nominated the US President for the Nobel Peace Prize back in June after he secured a ceasefire deal between Islamabad and India.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on “everyone” to join in nominating President Trump for the prize.
Trump and Sharif were part of a delegation of world leaders gathered in Egypt to attend a summit on Gaza’s future.
During his address, Donald Trump called for a “new beginning” for the Middle East and stressed stability and prosperity.
