Aussie veteran conquers Kenya’s Great Rift Valley | 7NEWS
Australian veteran Danielle Hale, who was medically discharged with a compressed spine, chronic pain and depression after nine years in the army and 16 years in the navy, is hiking 10 kilometres through Kenya’s Great Rift Valley as part of an Invictus mission. The former wheelchair rugby player who represented Australia at the 2023 Dusseldorf Invictus Games is participating alongside fellow Invictus athletes running a marathon for World Mental Health Day. Hale is also working with the foundation to clear fields and restore classrooms in Kenya.
