Melbourne tobacco wars reignite with Deer Park firebombing | 7NEWS
A firebombing attack targeted an Asian grocery store in Deer Park, west of Melbourne, at 11pm last night when offenders smashed in and set the premises alight. The incident is part of an escalating tobacco war that has seen more than 300 firebombings across Australia in the past two and a half years, with over half occurring in Victoria. Security guards who had previously been stationed at tobacco stores in the area had been absent for the past month.
