Telco bosses grilled as minister introduces new triple-0 laws | ABC NEWS

Major Australian telecommunication companies have agreed to take part in drills to ensure customers can always get through to the triple-0 emergency number.
Optus, TPG, and Telstra’s bosses met with the communications minister in Canberra.
After the meeting, Minister Anika Wells introduced new legislation that will enshrine a “Triple Zero Custodian” with end-to-end oversight of the triple-0 system.
It comes after an Optus outage impacting emergency calls was linked to three deaths.
