Elsewhere, there’s been disaster in Adelaide’s north overnight, where seven people, including young children, were forced to flee for their lives when a fierce fire gutted their Elizabeth home. Emergency services rushed to the scene to treat the shocked family, while investigators work to determine what sparked the blaze.
To federal politics, and drivers are being warned there is no immediate relief coming at the bowser. Fuel prices have spiked by nearly 40 cents a litre over the past month, with experts forecasting high costs to remain locked in until at least November.
