Pauline Hanson addresses controversial Indigenous comments
Pauline Hanson is under fire over a resurfaced podcast interview in which she claimed Indigenous Australians were “the most primitive people on Earth”.
In the same interview in 2025, Hanson said teaching First Nations histories to children at school was a “complete waste of time”, and that Indigenous Australians had “achieved nothing”.
Her comments sparked a furious backlash. Senator Jacinta Price accused Hanson of crossing the line, and called on the One Nation leader to apologise.
Hanson posted the original clip, saying the media was “in a tailspin”.
But she later addressed the comments directly, saying she “regrets” the remarks.
