‘Another interest rate rise’: Labor spending blamed as Australia teeters on recession

News24 host Chris Kenny warns continued record government spending is a major factor behind stubborn inflation as the Reserve Bank signals another potential interest rate rise.

“We’ve got a housing crisis that could be plummeting this nation into recession, and we’re looking at another interest rate rise,” Mr Kenny said.

“Andrew Hauser there, who’s the Deputy Reserve Bank Governor, is suggesting another interest rate rise could be on the way.

“Of course, the big factor he leaves out there is continued record government spending.”
