Locals living near a proposed housing development in the area are concerned about its proximity to pubs with high poker machine losses.
Victorians lost $3.3 billion on the pokies last financial year but nowhere was that loss more pronounced than Brimbank, in the city’s west, where punters lost $185 million more than anywhere else.
