This is the dramatic moment police battled through congested roads to save a British tourist who fainted in Vietnam.
The woman and her mother, A Va Vu, were visiting the Dolphin Palace in Quang Ninh when she suddenly collapsed at around 4:30 pm local time, on August 28.
Officers from Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 were maintaining traffic order nearby before the British mother approached to ask for help.
Captain Le Hoang Minh and his colleagues found the girl unconscious on the pavement, with worried locals fanning her. They immediately loaded the woman onto a police motorcycle and raced her towards Quang Ninh General Hospital.
Footage shows the police captain weaving through rush-hour traffic in the city, which was clogged with motorists heading towards October 30 Square for a concert.
The officers used their sirens to clear a path to get the stricken tourist to medical care as soon as possible.
When they reached the hospital, the cop then carried the British woman on his shoulder and hauled her onto a gurney into the emergency department for treatment.
Local media reported that the tourist’s condition has stabilised and she was out of danger.
