California could recognise two Islamic holidays, triggering school closures

Award-winning journalist Stella Escobedo reacts to a California bill that recognises two Islamic holidays which could cause public school and community college closures.

“You’re doing this for one per cent of the population,” Ms Escobedo told News24 host Danica De Giorgio.

“Meanwhile, you don’t acknowledge the 22 million Christians who live in California.”
