UAE intercepts Iranian drone over its territorial waters
The United Arab Emirates says it has intercepted an Iranian drone over its territorial waters as direct strikes between the US and Iran resume for the first time in a month.
President Donald Trump has also launched a fresh attack on Tehran in a post on Truth Social, declaring: “Iran is officially a failed nation. It is dead.
“They have no navy, they have no air force, they have no currency, they are not paying their soldiers or police, inflation is at 300 per cent, and their leadership is in total disarray and incapable of properly representing the country.”
The renewed escalation is raising concerns of a broader regional confrontation after several weeks of reduced direct military activity.
