Queensland introduces world’s toughest e-bike laws | 7NEWS

Queensland has implemented some of the world’s strictest e-bike and e-scooter regulations, requiring riders to be at least 16 years old with a learner’s licence to ride independently. Children aged 12 and above can ride under parental supervision, and parents can now be fined if their child violates the rules. Since the first phase began on 1 July, more than 1,700 infringement notices have been issued and 400 illegal e-bikes have been seized.
