Multiple law enforcement officers were injured after the wooden deck they were standing on unexpectedly collapsed during a warrant operation in Huntsville, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 21, the US Marshals Service said.
Bodycam footage released by the agency shows multiple officers standing on the structure, which was the only access to the apartment building’s second-floor units, as it gave way underneath them.
The operation included members of the US Marshals Service, Moberly Police Department, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Missouri Drug Task Force, according to a press release.
Several officers were transported to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment but all reported injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
The US Marshals Service said the warrant was being served as part of Operation Adam’s Watch, a multi-week enforcement operation that resulted in the arrest of more than 330 fugitives wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, sex assault, or other sex offenses.
The warrant was for 26-year-old Jacob Alexander Munoz, according to news reports. The US Marshals Service said Munoz was later taken into custody.
