Trump’s toughness on South Korea sends ‘terrible signal’ to global allies
The Australian Columnist Tom Switzer says US President Donald Trump’s South Korean military fiasco sends a “terrible signal” to American allies across the world.
“This is the same South Korea that Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s war secretary, praised in the last few months for increasing their defence spending to 3.5 per cent of GDP,” Mr Switzer told News24 host Chris Kenny.
“I think it sends a terrible signal by being tough on South Korea here, sends a terrible message to both US allies in Europe and Asia that Donald Trump’s America is becoming an increasingly unreliable ally.”
