Sydney and Melbourne universities have a ‘primary responsibility’ to educate Australians

Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson says prominent Australian universities like Sydney University and Melbourne University have “taken their eye off the ball” when it comes to international student enrolment.

“The primary responsibility of public Australian universities is to educate Australians,” Ms Henderson told Sky News host James Macpherson.

“Some universities like Sydney and Melbourne have really taken their eye off the ball.

“Some universities really are being responsible, trying to get the balance right.”
