NBA rocked by bombshell FBI gambling indictments
A bombshell gambling indictment has rocked the NBA involving four mafia families, three NBA players and bets placed on superstar LeBron James and four NBA teams.
NBA Hall of Famer and now head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers Chauncey Billups, and Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier are among 30 people charged in relation to separate gambling investigations.
FBI Director Kash Patel claims the charges spanned years involving tens of millions of dollars.
The NBA has responded in a statement, saying they were reviewing the federal indictments and have put Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups on “immediate leave from their teams” as they take the allegations with the “utmost seriousness”.
