Man arrested after allegedly firing 50 to 100 shots in Croydon Park | ABC NEWS
A 60-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly firing 50 to 100 shots at passing vehicles in Sydney’s inner-west.
A man in his 50s was critically injured during the incident at Croydon Park and had to undergo emergency surgery, while more than a dozen suffered minor injuries.
NSW police’s Acting Superintendent Stephen Parry says the alleged gunman was firing ‘indiscriminately’ from the window of a residential property.
The active shooter situation prompted a strong police response involving specialist units.
The suspect was apprehended at unit above a business on Georges River Road and a high-calibre rifle was seized.
