Hong Kong tower residents complained 12 months before deadly fires | ABC NEWS

Hong Kong’s anti-corruption watchdog has arrested eight more individuals related to the deadly Wang Fook court fire.
The fire service reported that the alarms in the tower blocks malfunctioned when flames engulfed the buildings on Wednesday. Residents raised concerns about the green mesh netting and bamboo scaffolding, filing complaints in September and October 2024.
The death toll has reached 128, and about 200 people remain unaccounted for as rescue operations conclude.
