Greens Councillor thinks ‘vandals shouldn’t pay for damage if the monument was unpopular’
Sky News host James Macpherson criticises Greens Councillor Olivia Ball for voting against a crackdown on vandals.
“City of Melbourne councillors voted this week to crack down on people who vandalise historic monuments, agreeing that if you damage a monument, you pay for it.
“Greens Councillor Olivia Ball voted against the motion, arguing that damage to monuments should be considered on a case-by-case basis.
“Vandals wouldn’t need to pay for damage if it were agreed the monument was already unpopular.
“She was promoting a protest on the steps of State Parliament at which the steps of Parliament were vandalised with the phrase globalise the intifada”
