‘Coward’ Hakeem Jeffries refuses to answer questions on calls to defund ICE
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has been heavily scrutinised online for refusing to answer questions about ICE.
Jeffries was pressed on the recent call by Democrats to abolish ICE, with the party proposing a new bill.
A journalist questioned Jeffries if he supported the bill to abolish ICE, to which he said he hadn’t “had a conversation” on the legislation.
Social media was quick to attack Jeffries, many labelling him a “coward” and “liar” for not standing with law enforcement.
“@RepJeffries is a coward who does not stand with law enforcement officers,” one user wrote.
