Coalition vows to ditch net-zero while staying in Paris Agreement
Shadow Energy Minister Dan Tehan says the Coalition remains committed to the Paris Agreement, despite their positioning on net-zero.
“Net-zero goes under a Coalition government, kaput, gone, finished,” Mr Tehan told Sky News host James Macpherson.
“What we will do, though, is partake in the Paris Agreement … we want to make sure we’re setting sensible targets globally.
“Let’s show common sense, everyone’s pursuing energy abundance, so let’s have an agreement that works for everyone.”
