‘Larger picture’: Trump’s Iran war part of global power shift

Former Navy SEAL and FBI special agent Jonathan Gilliam says there is a “larger picture” at play, arguing US President Donald Trump’s strategy on Iran extends far beyond the Middle East.

“When you look at Maduro, Iran, Cuba, and all the players that work with them, that includes China and Russia, I think you’re seeing a tremendous move of power to regain America’s standing amongst,” Mr Gilliam told Sky News Australia.

“This movement has really hampered the United States in business and in national security.”
